Walking your furry friend is far more than a routine chore—it’s a joyful moment that strengthens your bond and brings happiness to both of you. Have you ever noticed how your dog lights up at the mention of a walk, practically grinning with excitement? Walks offer them the chance to explore new scents, embark on little adventures, and, most importantly, enjoy quality time by your side. Studies even suggest that solo dog walkers tend to form a deeper connection with their pets.
Take Reddit user nana_banana2, for example. She and her beloved dog live in a peaceful neighborhood full of green spaces to explore, but their favorite path is a scenic route lined with trees and a beautiful lake. Recently, though, a neighbor questioned their use of the path, leaving her confused. Now, she’s seeking advice to find out whether she was in the wrong.

1. AITA for walking your dog in a public place? Why is this even a question?
2. OP likes to walk her dog on a particular path that has fenced houses on one side, except one, and water on the other.
3. One time while OP was walking her dog on that path, a woman from that unfenced house came out for a confrontation.
4. The woman didn’t like OP walking her dog on that path. OP was confused as it was public property, and ideally, the neighbor shouldn’t have any problem with that.
5. The neighbor agreed that it was public property but still the dog and OP disrupted her peace so she didn’t want them to walk there.
6. When OP said she would continue to walk her dog on the said path because she wasn’t breaking any law, the woman got angry and called OP rude.

7. OP didn’t spare her and told her to move somewhere else if she didn’t like people using “public” property in the neighborhood.
8. 2 to 3 times is not much at all. The neighbor could never do anything about this. However, OP took the matter to the courts of the AITA community to know if what she did was right or not.
