Pregnancy is a time when comfort and rest are paramount, and having a proper bed is essential to ensure both the expectant parent and baby get the support they need. The increased physical demands of pregnancy often make it challenging to move comfortably, so creating a restful sleep environment becomes crucial. A quality mattress, ample space, and a calming atmosphere all contribute to better sleep, which is important for the well-being of both the parent and the child.
But you know what’s not relaxing? A bunk bed—especially for a pregnant person. Sure, a bunk bed can sound fun in theory, but only if it’s spacious, equipped with a comfortable mattress, and the room is designed to accommodate it properly. Unfortunately, most bunk beds don’t meet these criteria, which is why they’re usually reserved for children. So, the last thing anyone should do is expect a pregnant woman to sleep on an uncomfortable bunk bed, particularly on vacation when the goal is relaxation and enjoyment.
Apparently, though, this family missed that memo and thought it was perfectly fine to ask a pregnant woman to sleep in less-than-ideal conditions. Do you think they were being inconsiderate, or is there more to the story? Let us know what you think!

They should have thought about it before they gave the OP and his wife a bunk bed.
It would not be comfortable for a pregnant individual to sleep on a bunk bed.
I would not be happy if my parents did this to me.
